Conventional training and workouts often deny "stamina" frequently referred to as physical endurance or the amount of time a body can sustain physical activity over time. AKA Length of time able to physically sustain in the "bedroom!"

Therefore, what is the overall time to complete the event? How long must a body be active to complete such an event? Maybe 30 minutes for the swim, 40 minutes for the run and another 1 hours for the bike. This equals to 2 hours and 10 minutes of continuous physical activity.
Obviously, a bench press might not be the best exercise. Unless, however, the bench press lasted for 2 hours and 10 minutes!! Have you ever done a bench press for 5 minutes, 10 minutes....etc?
Next time that you are at the gym add time traing to your workout! Try the bench press for 5 minutes or 1 minute for instance. Make that your goal and work up to it.
